ABOUT
John Howland Painting and Decorating was established in 2001 with over 20 years’ experience undertaking all decorating tasks from water damaged walls and single rooms to Tudor fronted properties and stately homes.
Working alongside skilled professional decorators of traditional methods in the early years, as well as incorporating modern paint application machines of today, has resulted in a traditional finish being offered; and when time is of the essence a modern approach is at hand.
We provide a professional service & finish, with access to a wide range of trade paints and products including Dulux and Farrow & Ball amongst others. We ensure that we are continually updated on the latest product information, such as VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), environmentally friendly paints and microporous exterior paints. By using Trade paints formulated to give a performance and quality like no other, the finish is the best achievable with today’s modern paints.

OWNER & DECORATOR
John has over twenty years' experience in the decorating trade, starting from an early age as a second generation painter. John leads his team on every project, regardless of scale and communicates with his customers from start to finish until the job is 100% complete.
TIM
DECORATOR
Tim has been part of the team for several years now, having previously worked as a patisserie chef. Tim brings many of the transferable skills, including a keen eye for detail and a steady hand, to his current work.
ALEX
DECORATOR
Alex responded to an advertisement for summertime work with us and he quickly showed a keen interest in the trade. He is now pursuing an apprenticeship in Painting & Decorating at York College and is about to complete his final year in 2021.
